After the very first homecoming game in Sequoyah high school history last year, the Gryphon soccer team has gained new players and made new efforts. The Gryphons have had to overcome tough games and support each other as a team.

The Sequoyah flag football team has faced many ups and downs this season; from various injuries to touchdowns to pick sixes, the flag football team made the playoffs for the first time in Sequoyah history. They traversed through a season of joy and pain, making key receptions, scoring touchdowns, and winning games.

The Sequoyah fall 2024 boys’ basketball season has concluded, and the team tallied up many new achievements and set expectations for future Sequoyah basketball teams.

On Thursday, October 12, Sequoyah’s homecoming soccer game against Waverly took place following a spooky spirit week leading up to the Homecoming Dance. The team showed dedication and determination in starting a new tradition for Sequoyah’s first annual homecoming game. 

On a cold, windy Wednesday afternoon at the start of November, the Sequoyah high school soccer team gathered on the lawn outside the Neighborhood Church sanctuary to walk down to Brookside park for their league championship game against Lycée International, or LILA.
